You can make beautiful and useful diaper cakes out of diapers and muslin. They are very easy to make and make for a very practical gift. Follow these steps to make a diaper cake:

Buy a diaper pack and roll out all the diapers in a cylinder shape. Tie them with a rubber band to hold them in shape.
Assemble the diapers on a stand to form the base. Use a large elastic band or tie up cut pieces of elastic bands to hold the base together.
Add a small gift such as baby wipes in the centre.
Now proceed to make the second layer/tier of the cake in the same way as the first one. You can add another gift here, such as baby powder.
Make as many tiers as you want depending on the number of diapers you have with you.
Finish it off by wrapping the entire "cake" with white muslin and add satin ribbons or bows on the cake.

Baby sock bouquet

Take a baby sock and starting for the tip of the toe begin rolling the sock tightly up towards the heel of the sock.
Once you reach the heel, put your hand inside the sock and roll the leg of the sock around the rolled sock to form a beautiful rose shape.
Now, take some wire, bend it into a hook shape and attach it to the inside of the sock rose. Take some floral tape and wrap it around the wire to hold the wire in place and make it look like a rose stem.
Attach artificial leaves to the 'rose' in a similar manner. Make roses out of as many socks as you want and wrap them all together in muslin to make it look like a rose bouquet.
